Several tourist agencies have small coaches for day trips in all of Scotland.

Those which I had chosen I was the Timberbush Tours and the Rabbie’s.

1st excursion (with Timberbush Tours https://www.timberbush-tours.co.uk/our-tours/ )

Rosslyn Chapel – Scottish Borders – Melrose town/abbey – Glenkinchie Distillery – Scott’s view

I chose this office because one of their destinations was the Rosslyn Chapel that would very much like to see influenced by the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (I love going to parties referred to in such books. I feel like I’m part of their history.). The tickets, I put it in a shop on the Royal Mile.

In general, I was happy and took us to the Glenkinchie Distillery because it was closed or something like that (I had to mention it earlier!). The tour guide had a sense of humor and explained everything in detail. Also, when he found out that I’m Greek, apologize to me for the Elgin Marbles which are in the British Museum. Very kind of him. I replied that we would want them back, but I knew that he couldn’t do anything himself, unfortunately.

Rosslyn was incredible, although I expected it bigger. It is worth to visit and learn the history and the legends that the “surround.” The scenery was beautiful and was worth a few photos.

We continued through the Scottish Borders towards the town and Abbey of Melrose and enjoyed, valleys, hills, streams, and sheeps composing a rural landscape.

Arriving at Melrose, the birthplace of the game Rugby Sevens took a stroll in the city with the traditional Scottish houses and visited the Abbey which is considered the burial place of Robert I of Scotland.

On the return, we stopped at the statue of William Wallace and for the photo in Scott’s View, where we admired the magnificent views. Finally, they let us out half an hour in a city instead of the visit to the Glenkinchie Distillery but everything was closed, and we had nothing to do.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”1382,1384,1386,1388,1390,1392,1394″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

2nd trip (with Rabbie’s https://www.rabbies.com/en )

Loch Lochmond National Park, Kelpies & Stirling Castle

This trip I booked through the internet as I was still in Greece. It was an excursion that was being proposed to me by my friend who lives in Edinburgh.

Throughout the history of the tour, you can read the diary posts for Edinburgh. It’s the 3rd day in Edinburgh. (reference with link)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Finally, I would like to give you some general information about Edinburgh.

It pays to take card multiple routes for the buses. Counts and the journey to and from the airport.

Don’t forget that the currency is the English pound so beware of the rates, the currency and money you want to spend.

Note: Through the agencies, you can select tours all over Scotland and the north of England. There are daily or multi-day excursions. It’s good for you to make a reservation online to be sure that there are available seats.
