Culinary delights + nightlife in Edinburgh

  • Elephant house cafe

One of the places in which the J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter! I enjoyed it! It has been voted as one of the best places for delicious coffee and tea. You can even enjoy an excellent breakfast, lunch, dinner and look around their collection of elephants.

  • Νom de plume (Broughton street 60)

The Nom de Plume you can get a delicious brunch with delicious and unique bagels. If you go midday, I will recommend you to sample the mulled wine (hot wine with cloves and cinnamon) Attention!it can be “strong” for you if you’re not used to drinking beverages.

  • Coro

If heaven was a place on earth! A sweet paradise, and the worthiest choice for crepes, pancakes, and waffles! Click here to see my video on youtube about Coro.

  • Pubs: Grassmarket and rose street

If you decide to go to a local pub, I recommend choosing one of them which is located in the Grassmarket or rose street. Not only for a drink or a meal but also for the gothic decoration, the mysterious history and medieval air that it exudes. My favorites are the “last drop” (Grassmarket) and the “black cat” (Rose Street).

  • Βanshee labyrinth

An extraordinary place for a drink! A little creepy, medieval and original! It includes, also, a  small movie theater! You’ll undoubtedly remember my words!

Would you be interested in having a drink in a modern bank? Next to the safe?

Plus, it is one of the smartest projects that I have encountered. Without hesitation, I suggest it for a drink (and food). A pub(restaurant) that used to represent a bank but transformed into a suitably shaped place for you and your friends!

Note: For your allowed entrance to the club need to show your travel documents.

These were some of the places that gained me, and I highly recommend them. The diary posts you will find more information (mainly from my second visit to the city).
