The best beaches of Milos island

1.North

•  The Plathiena with shallow waters is ideal for young children and with a beautiful view of the sunset.
• The Firopotamos. Small fishing village with wires.
• The Mandrakia. Equally beautiful landscape with wires. Don’t forget when leaving to drink ouzo accompanied by greek seafood snacks at the tavern (traditional coffee shop) Medusa. The view of the sea and tranquility will amaze you.

• The Sarakiniko with the lunar landscape. Ideal for diving and scuba diving. It is full of caves with numerous colored fish. If you are a lover of this kind of exploration, it is worth to swim with the masks until the wreck. You will feel like you have the first role in a documenter.

• The Mitakas
• The Alogomandra with the unique landscape of the cave features a natural shade.
• The Pachaina
• The Kapros
• The Papafrangas. Equally unique landscape with a small beach! However, it has difficulty to go down, so this needs attention.

• The Polonia, in which you’ll find two to three beaches a little more to the family. It’s nice in the Bath. I would advise you not to prefer the beach right in the village.All the beaches are easily accessible by vehicle. In some of them, you will find a little dirt road, but you won’t have a problem.The buses go only to some of them.

2. East

•  The Voudia. A huge beach with turquoise waters and colorful rocks. Worth the walk for sure a 10 minute along the beach to reach the far-right side where the landscape will compensate you. You don’t think in the beginning, but as you arrive there you will understand! It’s not organized like it’s not and well-known. Therefore, if you like own situations, it’s ideal for you, as well as very likely to be “like a shipwrecked.”You will only need to tolerate sometimes it’s the smell from the sulfur of the springs bubbling through the water and the rocks — effortless access only by car.

• The “sulfur mines” with the unique landscape of the old plant of the area which like hanging on the hillside.Access ideal vehicle for a long dirt road with many stones (type 4×4)

3. South

• The Paliochori. The most organized beach of the island. If you don’t care about the sunbeds, walk and sit up the way to the left, where the scenery is even more beautiful with the colorful rocks behind you.
• The St. Kyriaki is a beach with lovely water and trees to hang out under it. If you like nudity, there is a particular beach on the left side behind the rocks. Not looks, nor your mind goes if you don’t know. Need to walk around in 7 minutes to reach to the other side.

• The Tsigrado. Sea like a pool! However, the access to the beach is quite tricky because you need to go downhill through a crack between the rocks with a rope and a vertical wooden ladder at the end. If you decide to get off, be sure to wear shoes and to have only a backpack in the back. Also if you are in the heart of the summer wake up and go early in the morning, otherwise it can wait even in the queue. Either way, if it blows, a bit of dirt will eat it in the downloader. The landscape, however, it is definitely worth the hassle!

• Firiplaka is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Prefer to go a little more to the afternoon to avoid a lot of people because usually, it’s a mess. Also so you will enjoy the tranquility and the colors created as the sun starts to set.
• The Provatas. Beautiful family beach.All easily accessible with a vehicle. 

4. Southwest

The most impressive are those that you can’t go… okay, you reach swimming… okay, by boat !!

• The Gerontas
• The unique landscape of the Kleftiko. It is considered the must for the island of Milos. Don’t leave without a visit.
• The cave of Sykia
• The Saint John
• The Ammoudaraki
• The Triades
• The Agathia
• The Kalogries

However, in some of them, you can go with the car if you only have a 4×4. Please note that the rent a car prohibit the access on the southwest side of the island.

5. In the inner bay of the island

• The Fatourena. (If you go as there it is necessary to go to eat, the most beautiful goat you have tried in the Embourios below. Cook with products of their own.)
• The huge beach of Achivadolimni
• The Papikinou. Beach in Adamas
• The Lagada. Beach in Adamas.

Accessible with a car. Hassle with a dirt road you will meet only for the Fatourena.

The beauty is indescribable… I love the Aegean, the Cyclades, Milos island!!
